material_attach_normalmap_texture_to_argument
Attaches a texture element representing a tangent space normal map to the argument of a material. This command constructs all nesessary MDL functions needed for this and connects them together. This command assumes object UV coordinates rather than projections will be used. Returns a list of the elements created in the database and the unique id used for naming.
arguments
- "argument_name" : String
The name of argument of the material onto which to attach the texture. Must be of type Float32<3>.
- "create_from_file" : Boolean (default: false)
If true, texture_name is treated as a filename instead of an element name and the relevant texture and image elements will be created automatically.
- "material_name" : String
The name of the material onto which the texture will be attached.
- "texture_name" : String
The name of the texture element to be connected to the materials argument.
- "texture_options" : Map (default: Map(
Optional Map holding options to be set on the various MDL functions which are created. Supported options are coordinate_source, rotation, translation, scaling, factor, scale, offset, flip_tangent_u, flip_tangent_v, clip_v, clip_v, wrap_u, wrap_v and clip.
return value
MapThe list of the elements created in the database and the unique id used for naming.
