generate_points_on_mesh
Generates a list of points and normals on the surface of a Polygon_mesh or Triangle_mesh. This can be useful for distributing objects across surface geometry.
arguments
- "count" : Uint32 (default: 10000)
The number of points to be generated.
- "direction" : Float32<2> (default: Float32<2>(
- x: 0
- y: 0
Bias of the normals in the U and V directions.
- "mesh_name" : String
Name of the Polygon_mesh or Triangle_mesh on which to generate the set of points and normals.
- "randomness" : Float32 (default: 0)
The amount of random variation between starting and final point locations and normals.
return value
MapA map containing a points property and normals property with arrays of values.
