element_get_attribute_type

Gets the type of an attribute on a database element. If the element is of type IFunction_call then by default parameter types are retrieved rather than attribute types. Note that it is not possible to get argument references using this command.

arguments

• "attribute_name" : String

  The name of the attribute to get the type from.

• "element_name" : String

  The name of the database element to get the attribute from.

• "force_attribute" : Boolean (default: false)

  If element is of type IMdl_material_instance or IMdl_function_call then get the actual attribute type rather than a parameter type.

return value

The type of the attribute.
